Analysis of Mammographic malignancy-grade of nonpalpable breast lesion

Abstract
Spiculated density, clustered microcalcification were significantly more likely to be associate with malignancy. Grading of mammographic characteristics is useful for predicting the high risk of malignancy. This study demonstrated the malignancy
rates
of 4/16 in malignant-intermediate group, of 1/16 in benign group, among 32 cases.
This result suggests that meticulous consideration of mamammographic characteristics of densities, microcalcifications may improve the yield of localization biopsy of nonpalpbable breast lesion and may reduce the frequency of localization biopsy
on
benign condition.
